This large industrial ship is built to carry 18 crew and 26,000 tons of liquid cargo. Humboldt is a "tail lander", meaning down is toward the back of the ship. The front section, however, can rotate internally for horizontal flight/landing. The forward section holds the bridge, crew areas, workshop, clinic, and a small shuttle bay. The aft end contains the massive engine room and cargo hold. Between runs a long spine with maintenance and escape pod access. This is a rugged, no-frills ship at home in both low and high-tech sci-fi settings.
